Analysing the Barriers Involved in Recycling the Textile Waste in India Using Fuzzy DEMATEL

Post-consumer wastes from the textile industry are generally landfilled or incinerated. The dumping of large amounts waste has resulted in severe environmental problems. Advancements technologies have called for recycling; however, level embracement made by towards recycling is hampered myriad factors. scope this study lies identifying and analyzing multiple barriers to implementing India, encompassing all subsets sustainability, i.e., social, economic, environmental. then evaluated using a Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) approach identify significant barriers. A trapezoidal fuzzy-DEMATEL methodology was executed not only find most influential but also cause-effect nature between every barrier. outcome indicates lack successful business models, poor demand recycled textiles goods, products may replace new products, support management industry, absence tax relief rewarding policies as top five recycling.
